Now Playing: Natalie Grant's "Awaken"
Topic: From Both of Us
Many of you have heard that we have been having kind of a rough time. That's true. We narrowly escaped being burned out during the cedar fire, Linda Kay slipped and fell in cheese at Wal-Mart, and was injured, then Jon hurt his knee and back on the last day of moving out of our loft in Julian. The landlord went completely "postal" and got pretty ugly. We are working with a lawyer and someday hope to get some compensation.
Since the fires burned out most of the rental areas in and around Julian, and after our "postal" experience with our last landlord, we moved into a 21' older RV that Linda Kay bought from a friend. We also bought a Resort Membership similar to Thousand Trails.
Both of us are on permanent disability so we have time to heal and move on. After the fires and landlord experience, we both have been diagnosed with p.t.s.d. and are working with someone who specializes in trauma recovery. There have been some other health issues as well.
Sounds like a lot doesn't it.
But truly these experiences have changed us, deepened our faith in God and our love for each other. We have a wonderful new group of friends who also RV full time. We are enjoying a new freedom in our lives and many positive changes.
After living a year and a half in that tiny motorhome, with our dogs Ivanhoe (a purebred Brittany) Amanda (a terrier mix) and a very unexpected litter of puppies, we are pleased to say we have found and purchased a new larger RV that meets all of our needs. (...except the puppies who all went to new homes.)
Last night we treated Will, Betty, and Judy to a nice dinner out in Celebration of our new "home on wheels", and in appreciation for the care they have shown us.
We hope to see many of you during the holidays.
Blessings and Love to all.
